Here's what the mainstream coverage hasn't connected. The two strongest cases on the list, retired Air Force Major General William McCasland and NASA materials scientist Monica Reza, aren't just names on the same spreadsheet. They're linked by a direct funding chain. Reza co-invented Mondaloy, a nickel-based superalloy designed for oxygen-rich rocket engine environments, patented through Aerojet Rocketdyne and tested by the Air Force in 2016. McCasland, as commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Phillips Research Site at Kirtland, oversaw the directorate that funded that research. Both were stationed at Wright-Patterson. Reza vanished on a ridgeline 30 feet behind her hiking companion in June 2025. McCasland walked out of his Albuquerque home 8 months later and has never been found. The House Oversight Committee flagged this connection in its April 2026 letter to the Pentagon and FBI. The rest of the list is harder to hold together. An MIT fusion scientist killed by a former classmate who was also the Brown University mass shooter. An astrophysicist shot on his front porch in an unsolved homicide. A pharmaceutical researcher pulled from a lake. A Los Alamos administrative assistant whose phone was wiped to factory settings. A government contractor who walked away from his house with a handgun.
