Horse Training - Rearing and Destination Addiction with Warwick Schiller
In this horse training video Warwick discusses how to deal with the different types of rearing. He begins by explaining that over 95% of horses are not actually rearing because the 5% that do, are refusing a command usually on the ground, because a horse has to be still to rear. The 95% he is mentioning is where the horse has what he calls "destination addiction", and wants to go somewhere anywhere, but the rider wont allow. He discusses fixing this issue, and what the different options are, such as moving forward, and getting responsiveness to his face.
