"Ai, ai, ai," by Silvia Pérez Cruz for the film "Cerca de tu casa" (Close to Your Home), won the award for Best Original Song at the 2017 Goya Awards. The singer, who was also nominated for Best New Actress for her role in the same film, chose the song to pay tribute to people facing eviction. During her acceptance speech, she revealed that "Ai, ai, ai" was selected for the film because the rights to another song could not be afforded.
