Workers' Party MPs seek clarifications on Statutes (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill
In parliament on Thursday (May 7), Senior Parliamentary Secretary for National Development Syed Harun Alhabsyi and National Development Minister Chee Hong Tat responded to clarifications sought by Members of the House on the Statutes (Miscellaneous Amendments) Bill. The bill was passed, with MPs from the Workers’ Party dissenting after questioning the retrospective validation of fees collected by four government agencies.
