The Last Caretaker is an atmospheric open-world survival game where we awaken as the last active Caretaker unit on a completely flooded Earth. Our mission is to explore abandoned facilities, gather resources, recycle scrap, and build machines to save humanity from extinction. After about 40 hours of gameplay, I'll show you my custom-built ship and explain the game's main systems. On board, you'll now find your own power grid, batteries, solar panels, wind turbines, various tanks, a refinery, recycling machines, and even a helicopter. Together, we'll set sail, explore an oil platform, and build the most self-sufficient energy supply possible. This involves generating electricity, producing fuel, laying cables and pipelines, and regularly repairing our ship. The Last Caretaker combines survival, crafting, base building, resource management, and automation with a stunning post-apocalyptic ocean world. The great freedom is particularly exciting: you can build machines and stations either directly on your ship or in various locations throughout the open world.
