Questions mount over KCRHA’s Native homelessness count as advocates warn of flawed data

Even as homelessness continues to climb across King County, local Native American leaders are warning that the region's latest homeless count paints a dangerously inaccurate picture. At issue is the 2026 Point-in-Time Count, the results of which were released earlier this week by the King County Regional Homelessness Authority (KCRHA). The organization has already been struggling to recover from a damaging financial audit that found millions of dollars in unaccounted spending.
