An incredibly beautiful and very dangerous railway passing through the Carpathian mountains is located on the Lavochnoe - Volovets section (Lvov Railway, Ukraine). In this video you will see accelerated filming from the driver's cab of the VL11m electric locomotive. The train goes through steep curves, high viaducts and several tunnels. The longest, the Beskydy tunnel, passes through the top of the mountain at the Beskydy station. If you look closely, you can even see the turning point - when the train stops moving downhill and starts rolling down. This tunnel is also unique in that it was built in 1886 and it is the second longest tunnel in Ukraine, its length is 1750m. In 2018, a new double-track tunnel was commissioned nearby; therefore, the old tunnel will soon be closed. I wish you all good and pleasant viewing. I really hope you enjoyed my video.
