Grenfell Memorial Choir Read All About It

In November 2016 Firdaws Hashim sang 'Read All About It' at her school talent show. At the end of the song her brother, Yahya, joined her on stage and hugged her. The audience cheered and applauded. In June 2017 Firdaws and Yahya died in Grenfell Tower. Three other students from the school also died that evening. Jessica, Biruk and Mierna. At the school talent show the following year - Firdaws’ friends sang their own version of the same song in memory of all of those who tragically died in the tower. They were incredibly brave and it was extraordinary moving. On hearing this story music producer Martin Terefe and his wife Tia, kindly invited the students to Kensaltown Recording Studios to record their version of the song.
