See what our day was like at Lake Glinki in Orchówek. If you're planning to stay a little longer, it's worth visiting nearby Sobibór. Orchówek itself also marks the border triangle of Poland, Belarus, and Ukraine. Out of season, there's no tourist infrastructure, not even a portable toilet. Despite this, the place looks well-maintained and shows no signs of mass tourism. The lake's water has a brown tint due to the peat soils surrounding it. The lake was peaceful, and there were few people. The sound of birds singing accompanied us throughout the day, lizards basked in the sun, and in the evenings, we might even spot a hedgehog.
