Human-Animal Families, Housing Insecurity, and the One Health Clinic Supporting Health and Staying Together My Dog Is My Home Conference 2026 Day 2 - March 25, 2026 Speakers: Natalie Rejto, Post-Doctoral Fellow Moderators: Erin Doyle, Director of Veterinary Medicine and Community Initiatives Since 2018, the Seattle One Health Clinic has been providing free integrated human and animal healthcare in a pet-friendly shelter for youth and adults. In this session, you will hear about how this clinic runs and the impact on the health, well-being, and access to housing for youth and young adults in our community. We will describe four years of integrated human and animal health care services provided for young adults experiencing homelessness and their companion animals. We will also discuss the human-animal bond and decreasing barriers to accessing housing with pets.
