I don't know what to call the species, so I'm sticking with the wolf. When Nyx was only 6 months old, she was taken by mushers to be trained as a sled dog. Of course she fought back, but she wasn't the best at fighting. Her siblings hid in their den. After a while, Nyx heard a loud, sharp noise. Twice. At the same time, she saw her parents fall to the ground. And there, was a human, holding a shotgun. This memory stuck with Nyx throughout her life, teaching her to never trust humans. However, she was clever. Nyx decided to obey, not trust, the mushers and their practices. After 4 years of work, she planned to kill the mushers, and go back in the woods. Except she didn't have 4 years. At 2 years old, she was sold to a dogfighter. This new owner was abusive, unlike the mushers. This taught Nyx that there's always someone worse. The first thing this abuser did was "allow" Nyx to attack him. She was a raging beast, having her plan shattered because of people wanting money. She charged at him, but he pulled out his club and struck her right in the nose. Nyx never felt pain like that before, which made her even angrier. She charged out of rage, got hit really badly, got mad because of it, and it repeats. Eventually, Nyx was bruised everywhere and bleeding out of her mouth. With no energy left, she collapsed. The abuser brought her water and food and fed her by hand. This was to show Nyx that she couldn't fight him, and that she should listen to what he tells her. And it worked. After her injuries healed, she was stronger both physically and mentally. She was smarter than most dogs. This was when the abuser put her into dogfights, having people bet on her because of her strengths. Nyx realized that the abuser's plan was to toughen her, so she could win every fight. For money. This made her, once again, a raging beast. And after a while, the fights were her way of letting out her anger. After 3 years of this, she no longer feared the club. She studied humans, and found out they are helpless without weapons. With that said, Nyx made sure to hide every weapon the abuser had, and killed him in his sleep. She then escaped back into the woods, but was not accepted by her siblings. 2 years of sledding and 3 years of fighting transformed her. She was much bigger, stronger, faster, and smarter than the average wolf. And with the years of abuse and hate, Nyx looked like a terrifying beast. Unnatural. She scared everything that saw her. Until, Toki believed Phantom could tame her. And that's where this video takes place.
