The bus company is Epa Star, also known as PT Eka Permata Agung, a company based in Palembang, South Sumatra, and a major player on the Palembang-Jakarta-Bandung round-trip route. Its intercity bus fleet is currently dominated by buses manufactured by Tentrem Malang, and those built for overland routes mostly use premium triple-axle chassis.
