The Worst Formula 1 Race: The 2005 United States Grand Prix
The US Grand Prix has always had a tumultuous past. No one could agree on where it should be held as the event bounced around all four corners of the country. But in 2000, it looked like F1 had a winner: The Indianapolis Motor Speedway infield road course. However, the 2005 USGP fell apart in spectacular fashion due to a track repave, insider information, and ongoing tire war, and a stubborn sanctioning body. This is the tale of how F1 racing died in America. I'd like to give a big shout out to Davin aka DriveThrough and Trace Ryder for their help in helping me proof read this video.
