Jumboo Savari Elephant Lakshmi refuses to leave Mysore Palace, Jumboo Savari elephants stayed during Dasara festival for over a month in the Mysore Palace, with the conclusion of 10 days long Dasara festival it was time for the Dasara Jumbos Savari elephants to return to their respective forest camps , which is their permanent residence. It was 10th October, 2019 the day the Jumboo Savari elephants have to leave Mysore Palace, they are transported in lorries to their respective forest camps in different parts of Karnataka. The experienced Jumboo Savari elephants enter the lorry without much fuss or fear. But, young 18 year old Lakshmi decided it was not yet time to return to the forest, Lakshmi put up a strong resistance, unwilling to enter into the lorry, Jumbo Savari elephants Gopi was assisting the Mahouts n Forrest officials in coaxing the elephants enter the transport lorry, but, Lakshmi dodged all their efforts, time was passing on,later Vikram joined Gopi but to no avail, now, it was the turn of the Ambari Elephant Arjuna to get Lakshmi Into the lorry, Gaja Raja Arjuna was very powerful, he lifted Lakshmi Into the air, but, still Lakshmi moved away from. Lorry entrance, after few unsuccessful attempts, Arjuna returned to his resting place angry and tired making roaring sound! Now, plan B, they brought in extra lorry to close the gaps through which Lakshmi ran away, again, the ordeal began, it was up to Gopi n other elephants, after more than 3 hours it was exhaustive and great relief as the all of them started clapping n laughing at the pleasing sight of Lakshmi being pushed into the lorry, 2 powerful push is what all it took to finally get Lakshmi Into lorry!
