Stalin's radio address of July 3, 1941, published in the newspaper Pravda. The raft tug "Pilot Gromov" is sailing along the Volga. Captain Vasily Ivanovich Modin stands on the deck. V.I. Modin gives a visual signal by moving his megaphone around. A banner on the deck reads, "VICTORY IS DECIDED NOT ONLY AT THE FRONT BUT ALSO IN THE REAR." Workers construct a raft of logs.
