John Titor was a mysterious individual who said he was from the year 2036, making his way around the radio and internet forum circuit in the late 90s and into the new millennium. His claims were puzzling if not outright preposterous, warning people of World War III and saying he prevented Y2K. While it would be easy to dismiss this as a silly hoax, the truth of who was behind the John Titor story goes much deeper, creating a web of deceit that has kept followers in the dark for over 20 years.
