With the introductory title: “Sabbath or Sunday? – In many churches and circles, the question is topical. Is Sunday really the Biblical day of rest?” Before you read this article, it is important to know that we believe that all the days we are given are grace from GOD! We therefore have no interest in 1 specific day; it is also important to know that this article, as a response to this publication https://www.jezusredt.com/bijbelstudi..., was not written for the benefit of a particular denomination! But by Bible-believing Christians! The title: “Sabbath or Sunday?” is misleading in many ways. Is this really a question that is relevant in many churches and circles? The question that should be relevant is: ‘How can we reach the world with the message of reconciliation and peace with God through The Lord Jesus Christ?’ See 2 Corinthians 5:17-21. The important question is: ‘What is meant here by ‘Biblical day of rest’?’ Is this a call to return to the law of the old covenant? Is rest to be found in this world without Jesus? Or does God command us to observe a day of rest? Romans 14:5 “One person considers one day more important than another, but another considers all days alike. Let each be fully assured in his own mind.” Considering a particular day is indeed not a new phenomenon. Many people do indeed consider Sunday more important than other days.
