the DriZzleR Gasifer - the DriZzle method
This is a revolutionary concept that allows to use an open top simple construction gasifier to produce engine grade gas. The secret is the way how the fuel is fed into the gasifier. The feed method We called the DriZzle method, because one has to DriZzle in fuel into a hot flaming pyrolyse coalbed. The fuel drisled in must be the minimum possible to produce the wanted amount of gas. too much fuel does not only rise your coelbed but also will produce tar. What hepened precisely by putting the litliest amount of fuel possible in the flaming pyrolyse, the little amount of fuel is inmediatly processed and gassed and by pooring in little fuel giving the gasifier the least stress and work. Volatiles and tars are brought into the gasifier in minimal amounts. The fuel is always much less than the coalbed in any other gasifier this is the opposite. The drisle method can be easily automised by an auger feeder but it has nothing in coming with traditional auger feeding wher the aim is to feed the gasifier always full or at a reasonable level. here the opposite one feed always to the limit of starving the gasifier. i discovered this method by observing the flare when I let my Lukotop burn out. Always at the end of the burn when there was a fierce burning and glowing caolbed the flare turned nicely blue. I managed to reproduce and proloungs this effect by drisling in very little amount of fuel just enough to not let go out the flare. Doing so the flare remained nice blue. The only drawback of this method is that one need a sensitive operator who is able to decide when the flaming pyrolise is ripe to drisle and how much time interval is needed to keep the flaming pyrolises at level and going. With this method one can produce engine grade gas. Pascal has adapted this method and tested it in a maraton run also on his VW 1.6 litres cogeneration unit.
