In this video students will learn about: • pivot position of a matrix • basic and free variables • general solution of a linear system • existence and uniqueness theorem: existence: a linear system is consistent iff the rightmost column of the augmented matrix is not a pivot column. uniqueness: If a linear system is consistent then the system has a unique solution (when there are no free variables) and infinitely many solution (if there is atleast one free variable).
