"Analog" Whelen WPS-4008 Wail - Waite Park, MN Tornado Siren Test

0:00 2001 Ambiance 3:00 4008 Activates *This siren was replaced by a 2001-130 in 2022* Well after two years of trying to convince more local people, ahem persons, to film/retry this thing, I took matters into my own hands and showed up myself, only for said person to come along for the ride anyway ;) Josh T. & I found ourselves in Waite Park, MN today at this odd looking, ESC-864 4008, which happens to run wail along with the city's 2 2001-SRNs. The new to them 2T22 that was installed a few years ago does Alert oddly enough. This easily tops my list as the loudest electronic siren I've heard to date. The echoes in person were insane, especially off of the newly built Hilton across the street. Sirens are tested with Stearns county and the state of Minnesota on the first Wednesday of every month at 1PM. ©Jacob G.
