A guided grief meditation for mourning the person you were before the loss, diagnosis, betrayal, trauma, heartbreak, or season of life that changed you. There is a kind of grief that often goes unnamed: grief for the version of yourself who existed before everything changed. The person who trusted more easily. The person who felt lighter. The person who had not yet learned to brace, protect, adapt, or survive in the ways you had to. This meditation is not about trying to get that person back. It is about making room to mourn them with honesty, tenderness, and support, so the person you are now has somewhere real to stand. In this practice, Wendy guides you gently into the grief of your former self. You will settle into support, orient to the present moment, remember the version of you who existed before, meet the grief in the body, release the pressure to “move on,” and allow both grief and gratitude to coexist. This meditation also includes a gentle white light body scan to help you feel supported, held, and safe as you integrate both selves: the person you were before, and the person you are now. Use this practice when you feel the quiet ache of missing your earlier self, especially after loss, trauma, illness, betrayal, grief, big life transitions, or any experience that changed your nervous system and your sense of who you are.
