The Gospels are silent for 17 years of Jesus' life. From age 12 to 30: nothing. Not a line. Not an explanation. In 1887, a Russian journalist claimed to have found, in a Himalayan monastery, the manuscript that filled this gap. The Hemis Manuscript, according to Nicholas Notovitch, described Jesus' missing years in Asia: six years studying the Vedas with Brahmins in Varanasi and Puri, years later among Buddhist communities learning Pali, and finally a period in Persia and Zoroastrianism before returning to Judea. The name this Tibetan text used to refer to Jesus was Issa. And it described him as the best of the sons of men. The academic world dismissed it. No one at the Hemis Monastery remembered any Russian with a broken leg. The manuscript, according to the abbot, never existed. But 27 years later, Swami Abhedananda arrived. And the monks showed him the manuscript. This video is impartial.
