"Space Invaders" (Demon) by Subwoofer [All Coins] | Geometry Dash 2.2

This was not planned to be an Event level from the start, but as Subwoofer progressed more, RobTop and I discussed it becoming one, and Subwoofer was down for it. It felt like a good option for this tab considering its quality and overall scope, making it his biggest work yet (and maybe ever). Visually, it's got his usual clean and neat art style throughout. That keeps it cohesive and consistent by itself, but the theming ties everything together even more and is what makes this level special. It's obviously heavily tied to the song, which Subwoofer used the entirety of here. Going through the city environments as it's being invaded, and then having to deal with the invaders, as well as seeing the aftermath, makes for an epic adventure overall. With its length, you'd think it would be a little more repetitive visually, but Subwoofer did a great job of varying the approach per part, whether it's due to the art, colors, effects, framing, or other elements. The transitions between parts are also worth mentioning: They are all very natural, bringing you to another section of the city that makes sense in a smooth way, and without obscuring any upcoming gameplay. In general, I've always found Subwoofer's gameplay to be very clear, as his style does a good job of highlighting obstacles, which is no different here. There are also some cool extra content in this, including the shop for special cosmetics and the extra mini levels for each coin. All in all, while Subwoofer has made sick story-based art levels in the past, this is the best one in my opinion.
