Day 174 – June 23, 2026 – Psalm 73, Proverbs 16:9-16 Comparison with those who prosper without regard for God can distort a believer’s perspective; but drawing close to God reframes the evaluation of success, righteousness, and the future in a broader context than immediate advantages. Prayer Points: We pray that the Lord will guard us from the envy that arises when we evaluate life solely in terms of the comfort, success, or apparent prosperity of others (Psalm 73:2-3, 12). We pray that God will help us bring our concerns and questions before Him, without hiding them or turning them into bitterness (Psalm 73:16-17). We pray that the Lord will give us the conviction that drawing close to Him is a greater good than any temporary advantage we might obtain outside of His will (Psalm 73:25-28). We pray that God will give us the wisdom to make our plans and choices humbly, recognizing that the ultimate direction of our lives is in His hands (Proverbs 16:9, 16).
