Spring Valley Fire Department 17-1750, 17-Rescue, and 17-MSU, along with Rockland County Department of Emergency Services 44-4, Hillcrest Fire Department 6-Rescue (6-F.A.S.T.) and 6-EQ, and Spring Hill Community Ambulance Corps Ambulance 43B5 responding to a working structure fire on Roosevelt Avenue in Spring Valley, New York. A complete rundown of units that responded is listed below. The call was initially dispatched as a reported shed fire and was Spring Valley's third call in their district. Units began clearing other alarms to respond to the shed fire. While responding, 44-Control (dispatch) updated units that they were receiving multiple calls including conflicting reports that there was possibly a house on fire. 17-Tower arrived on scene first and established 17-Command while confirming a working fire. Shortly after 17-Command confirmed a shed fire had extended to a nearby house and requested the Hillcrest FD F.A.S.T. to the scene as well as a pumper from Nanuet FD. With some additional mutual aid, the fire was placed under control after about an hour.
