Anyone with a free Instagram account - personal, creator, or business - can log in and start using it. I don't love the stickie note function - I prefer Trello for organizing my content ideas. CORRECTION: You CAN filter stickie notes to show archived notes! 5:46 🔹 Inspiration Feed - To spark new ideas for your content. You can save videos, save the audio from a video, and you can add notes to either of the above. The only thing I don't love about this feed is that it doesn't show the captions of Reels. 6:48 🔹 Projects tab - Create new projects, & easily edit, rename, duplicate, or delete your video projects. Duplicating projects can be handy for creating rough cuts (edits) - if you want to play around with editing. 7:47 🔹 A sneak peek at the built-in record feature or camera in the Edits app, highlighting: ✔️ Green Screen function for dynamic backgrounds ✔️ A countdown timer for hands-free recording ✔️ Speed adjustments for your recording ✔️ Highly requested teleprompter feature, an addition not yet seen in the Instagram Reels camera yet - WAHOO! 🎉 ✔️ A simple beauty feature with a slider bar for subtle enhancements, similar to the beauty feature in Zoom video calling ✔️ Options to film in high quality (up to 2K at 60 frames per second). I use 2K at 60 frames per second, as I understand 4K doesn't offer a significant difference for Instagram uploads. I also stick with SDR for color. One of the standout benefits is the ability to film high-quality content & download the video files to your device without the Instagram watermark. This is useful if you want to share videos across multiple platforms like YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc. While the app's editing features still have some limitations, particularly with music exporting, its recording capabilities are useful. You can film videos up to 10 minutes and export them without the watermark, as long as you don't add music to your project. I also LOVE that you can use the green screen AND beauty feature AND the teleprompter ALL AT THE SAME TIME!
