Hazrat Yahya bin Muaz Kaddesalahu sırrahul aziz would pray according to affiliation. His sermons would have a great impact on those who heard them. They called him Yahya-yi vaiz. He would say: The more you love Allah, the more people love you. The more you fear Allah, the more people fear you. The one who is ashamed of Allah, Allah will be ashamed of him when he commits disobedience; during the time of punishment, the modesty of Allah is generosity and the modesty of the servant is repentance. Three characteristics are the attributes of saints: 1. Trusting Allah. 2. To be independent of anything other than Allah. 3 To be content. A righteous person is one who has the following three qualities: 1. He looks at those above him with an eye of admonition; he does not desire them. 2. He looks at the poor with an eye of compassion, not with arrogance. 3. A Muslim looks at his private parts with an eye of protection, not with lust. Whoever is with Allah, he is always with Allah. Whoever is with his own acquisition is always poor. ''Subhanallah! (Glory be to Allah.) The servants do not feel ashamed when they commit sins. Allah the Almighty sees and feels ashamed. Allah, the Generous, the Merciful, says: ''O My servant! I love the sin that makes you fearful more than the obedience that makes you fearless.'' He who takes Allah as a friend becomes an enemy to his soul. A fool is the one who hopes for Paradise with his perfect deeds. A believer should be like a fox between hope and fear, between two lions. I wonder at that person who abstains from food due to illness, but does not abstain from sins due to fear of death. Gaining the world is humiliation, earning the hereafter is honor. A fool is one who abandons honor and seeks humiliation. What the wise desire the world is more than what the ignorant abandon. A person who desires the world is in the humiliation of the hereafter, a person who desires the hereafter is in the honor of obedience. A person who desires Allah is always at ease. The religion of those who lack trust in Allah is incomplete. He who eats too much dies quickly, because he burns with the fire of lust. Hunger is a food that fills the hearts of the righteous. Hunger is an asceticism for the disciple, a solace for the followers, and a mercy for the wise. I seek refuge in Allah from ascetics whose stomachs are full with the food of the rich. Who should the disciple sit with? With someone who will not stop himself from his dhikr. The disaster of the disciple is a bad (evil) companion. Being a fawt is a fraction of death. Death is being cut off from the people, and fawt is from God. He who speaks without thinking will eventually regret. He who speaks with anxiety will find salvation. There are three signs of sincere repentance: 1. Eating little because of fasting. 2. Sleeping little because of prayer. 3. Speaking little because of dhikr. Let it be a sign of love that will increase with goodness and decrease with hardship. O God! I fear You because of deeds, because of You, and I hope in You because of Your grace. Do not let me live because of Your grace. Do not blame me because of my bad deeds, for I am a faulty one. Hazrat Yahya had a debt of a hundred thousand dirhams, he would always feed them to the dervishes. This debt occupied his heart. One night he saw the Prophet (PBUH) in his dream: ''Oh Yahya, do not hold your heart tight, go to Khorasan. They keep putting three hundred thousand silver coins for your debt of one hundred thousand silver coins." "Oh Messenger of Allah, what kind of person is he?" He said: "I entered his dream too".. Yahya woke up. He came to the city of Nishapur. In his sermon: I came with the sign of the prophet. A person said, "I will give forty thousand dirhams". Yahya said, "The word of the prophet cannot be contradicted" and did not accept. From there he came to the city of Hiri, preached and also reported his dream. The daughter of the sultan of Hiri was in that gathering. She had seen the Prophet in her dream and had been given the sign to give 300,000 silver coins, so she had prepared it. He gave the money to Sheikh Yahya and asked him to preach for three days. Ten people died in his sermon on the first day, twenty-five people died on the second day and forty people died in his sermon on the third day. On the fourth day, he set out with seven camel loads of goods. The devil led Yahya's son astray. He said, "My father will give this property to pay debts." When he reached the station called Telatım, he lay there. While he was performing the prayer at dawn and his blessed head was in prostration, his son hit his father's head with a stone, martyring him. They took his body and brought it to Nishapur. They buried him in the Ma'ber cemetery.
