In this program: We'll be talking with Agricultural Engineer Javier Fernández about the current state of livestock systems in the department of Artigas. We'll also be speaking with Agricultural Engineer Ignacio Paparamborda from the Faculty of Agronomy and a member of the academic committee of the Procría Program, about two training activities for extension technicians participating in this initiative, which took place in Salto and Tacuarembó. We'll also be talking with Agricultural Engineer Federico Martín Martinucci, an extension technician with Procría, in the department of Rivera. Agricultural Engineer Ítalo Malaquín, M.Sc., will discuss the work being carried out by the Agricultural Plan in the department of Tacuarembó, in conjunction with extension technicians and producers. We spoke with Dr. Alejandro Saravia, who discussed the importance of paying special attention to winter rearing management and invited everyone to participate in a virtual event being held by the Agricultural Plan and INIA in the coming days. We spoke with Dr. Gracialda Ferreira from the Uruguayan Wool Secretariat (SUL) about flock management, taking into account winter conditions, animal health, and lambing planning. We also spoke with Agricultural Engineer Rafael Reyno about Lotus corniculatus 'Rizo', a variety offered by INIA and currently being marketed. He discussed its characteristics, productivity, grazing management, and seed availability.
