My Favourite Gingerbread Biscuit Recipe

Whenever I make cookie decorating videos I often get asked about the type of biscuit that I like to use, so I thought I would share a little video with you showing you how to make my favourite gingerbread recipe, some cool Christmas and winter themed cookie cutters and moulds, as well as having a little look at some of my previous cookie designs. I have put links to the full length versions of my older cookie tutorials below, so you can get plenty of ideas to make with your new batch of gingerbread dough 😋 Tools and products used in this video - https://bit.ly/annclark - Assortment of Ann Clark Cookie Cutters https://bit.ly/katysuenutcracker - Nutcracker Mould https://bit.ly/knittingkatysue - Katy Sue Knitting Mat Ginger Biscuit/Cookie Recipe: 350g Plain Four (All-Purpose) 1tsp Bicarbonate of Soda (Baking Soda) 2tsp Ground Ginger 100g Butter 175g Soft Light Brown Sugar 1 Large Egg 4tbsp Golden Syrup (Corn Syrup) Sift the flour, bicarbonate of soda and ginger into a large bowl. Add the butter and rub in with your fingertips until you have a mixture resembling breadcrumbs. Add the sugar and give a good mix. In a separate bowl, beat an egg and golden syrup together. Add to the flour mix and mix well. Once into a dough wrap in cling film and leave to chill for at least 30 minutes. Pre heat oven to 190°C/375°F/Gas Mark 5 and line baking trays. Roll the dough out on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 4mm/ 1/4 inch. Cut out shapes and place them slightly apart on your lined baking tray. Bake for around 8 minutes until golden brown. Leave too cool on a wire rack.
