Hafen Duisburg Ruhrort - Treffpunkt von Erz u.Kohle (Doku 1948/49)

This documentary is one of the rare film documents that recreates an era long since ended. The film depicts the port of Duisburg and what happened there on a daily basis in 1948/49, namely the loading of coal and ore. Many of the ships and loading equipment used at that time are now museum pieces. The equipment that wasn't scrapped stands today as technical monuments in the port facilities and can be admired on a tour of Europe's largest inland port. Screenplay: Frank Lebrecht, Director: Clarissa Patrix, Cinematography: Herbert Grohmann
