How to play a CUT on the Fiddle?
I hosted a workshop on December 5th on "Cuts". This is a bow ornamentation, with 3 short movements; down / up / down popular in cape Breton Fiddle Music. I chose the D part (4th part) of the tune: Crossing the Minch or MacNabb's Hornpipe to use as an intense practice of the bow ornamentation "Cuts". There are 3 more videos on my channel for this workshop and it is of the tune played at 3 different speeds. More workshops on December 12 & 13 and in January!
