A spring trip to Okinawa for a couple in their 60s. On this day, we visited the Peace Memorial Park to learn about the history of the Battle of Okinawa. We felt the importance of peace amidst the tranquil scenery, and afterwards, we headed to Kokusai Street. In the evening, we enjoyed Okinawan cuisine and immersed ourselves in Okinawan culture at a folk music izakaya (pub) filled with the sound of the sanshin (Okinawan stringed instrument). More than just sightseeing, it was a memorable day in Okinawa.
