Das etwas andere Wohnhaus – Vortrag von Werner Sobek über sein Haus R128

At the end of the 20th century, Werner Sobek designed his four-story R128 house as a fully recyclable, zero-emission, zero-heating-energy building. What makes this house on the edge of the Stuttgart basin so special is its modular design. Thanks to its assembly using plug-in and screw connections, it is not only easy to assemble and disassemble, but its components can also be returned to the resource cycle in a single-material manner. High-quality triple glazing, combined with a climate control concept developed specifically for R128, ensures minimal energy loss in winter and only a fraction of the heat penetrates the interior in summer. In this video interview, Werner Sobek looks back and explains how R128 came about – from the initial idea and concept to its construction. A fascinating glimpse behind the scenes of one of the most widely publicized single-family homes of recent decades.
