Snugpak Antarctic Mat - Things you should know ! I purchased the Snugpak Antarctic Mat about a year or so ago and having used it reasonable amount have documented my thoughts on the product. In my view calling this an Antarctic Mat is pure marketing hype to get attention and sell the product. To be fair Snugpak do not give any warmth ratings but I feel just by adding the word Antarctic in the name this is a little misleading.
