Jesús fue abandonado - Andrés Corson - 3 Marzo 2013

Matthew 27:45-46 says: From noon until three in the afternoon darkness came over the whole land. About three in the afternoon Jesus cried out in a loud voice, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” (which means, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”). This was the most painful moment in Jesus' entire humanity, the moment when, because of our sin, the Father could not maintain his relationship with his Son, heaven closed, and Jesus experienced the pain of abandonment. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with us, but one who has been tempted in every way. For the abandoned, for those who have been victims of abandonment, the Lord understands because he too was abandoned.
