How The Wicked Witch Made The North Carolina Goth Scene Less Miserable

The Wicked Witch was a nightclub in Raleigh, North Carolina. It was instrumental to helping me embrace goth music and served as a third home for many. Given its closing in November 2025, I've compiled footage over the course of three years to make this video. I talk about what made this place special for a lot of people, what drew me to the music, and what we all did there. Putting on makeup and preparing to go there was its own ritual. Then you had a lot of great DJs playing old and new school goth and industrial. Even the cage was legendary!
