Vertical Timber Rack - Model Scratch Building

There is something almost sculptural over vertical timber racks. When you look at old photos of sawmills and lumberyards you will see both vertical and horizontal racks. Vertical racks prevent warping and make it easier to get to the material. Protected by a cheap tar paper roof and with the wood resting on a small wooden floor, moisture shouldn’t be an issue. This model is made from really cheap materials such as balsa wood, cardboard and masking tape.
