The Batman was an animated Batman series which aired from 2004 - 2008. It featured the adventures of a younger Bruce Wayne/Dark Knight and also ended up contained a rather sizable behind the scenes mystery. Season 1 and 2 focused a lot on Batman having to take on his villains and the police. One officer was Detective Ellen Yin . At first, against vigilantes she eventually came to respect and work with Gotham's protector. Then at the start of season 3, she vanished. Rumours have swirled for years as to what happened.
