Moab skydiver breaks world wingsuit record with all-female team

Becca Jordan of Moab just made history. She was part of one of the first-ever all-female teams to compete in Acrobatic Flying at the FAI World Cup of Wingsuit Flying in the Czech Republic in August 2025. Along with her teammates, Becca set an official world record for "most grips in a round," performing 12 grips in a single round during a single wingsuit skydive. In wingsuit skydiving, a specialized jumpsuit with fabric panels allows jumpers to glide horizontally instead of falling straight down—at speeds approaching 200 mph, making it one of the fastest non-motorized human sports. Becca's journey to this world record is inspiring. She first discovered wingsuit piloting on a climbing trip to Europe in 2018. Back home in Moab, she worked three jobs, saved every penny, converted a truck to live in, and launched her skydiving career in 2021. She's since completed over 1,200 jumps, with roughly 900 of those in a wingsuit. In March 2025, Becca became a certified instructor and now teaches wingsuit flying at Skydive Moab.
