In this project, we will apply *Analytical Chemistry* techniques to recover precious metals from electronic scrap. The main focus will be the extraction of *gold* and *silver* present in computer RAM. Throughout the series, we will use different leaching methods, including: • Aqua Regia • Imperial Water (applied to gold foil and contacts) • Douglas Black Water Alkaline Technique (especially indicated for chips and more complex components) In this first episode, we begin the challenge with **1 kilogram of RAM**. You will follow the preparation of the material and the quantification of RAM units in 1 kilogram. The objective is to show in a practical, didactic, and realistic way how analytical chemistry can be applied to the recovery of precious metals, always prioritizing safety and the correct method. ⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNING: This content involves handling strong acids and hazardous chemicals. All work is performed with the mandatory use of complete PPE, in a controlled environment, and with responsible waste disposal.
