Of the 2, this set is the only one with the original "explosive" type doors which sounds amazing, especially paired with the old Tokyo Metro door chime. These trains were originally fitted with chopper control units, similar technology used on the retired C151 fleet. They are also capable of through running on the Tokyu Den-en-toshi and Tobu Skytree Lines where they can truly run at their full speeds. As the final of its 18000 series replacement set has been rolled out for passenger service, these trains are at the brink of extinction.
