We started the day by visiting the colorful, fresh, organic farmers' market. Then we went to our farm and, together with Saniye Hanım and the owner, we tended to our garden; our corn, tomatoes, and peppers are now beginning to show themselves and ripen. Of course, we didn't neglect the care and daily attention of our beloved cattle. When we moved to our butcher shop, a bustling activity awaited us. We made special preparations for our legendary leaf-wrapped döner kebab, crafted with our masterful skill, using our freshly arrived beef. We had the most delicious ending to the day in the kitchen; Saniye Hanım and her sister rolled up their sleeves to prepare bone marrow, a treasure trove of healing properties, and delicious tripe soup, simmering for hours over a wood fire.
