沢口愛華、“令和のグラビアクイーン”が赤裸々に　思いを込めて「新幹線の中で大号泣」

Sawaguchi Aika, also known as the "Reiwa Gravure Queen," held a launch event for her "Sawaguchi Aika Photo Essay: Sawaguchi Life" (Tokyo News Service) in Tokyo on December 21, 2024. The book is a compilation of essays serialized in the magazine "B.L.T." (Tokyo News Service), and includes a newly written essay in which she looks back on her six years as a gravure model, writing frankly about the struggles, changes, and connections she has made with the people she has met. New gravure photos taken in her current base of operations in Tokyo and her hometown of Nagoya also appear, showcasing her stunning figure. Sawaguchi revealed the thoughts behind the essays, saying, "It's really difficult to achieve perfection in everything. What is the right answer? Should I prioritize my feelings? Or should I prioritize my writing skills? It was a struggle." She said that she has a special attachment to the essay titled "Hometown," saying, "I'll never forget the memory of writing it while crying my eyes out on the Shinkansen. It convinced me that this is what writing an essay is all about, and it's my favorite." Aside from gravure modeling, Sawaguchi has also been very active as an actress, and when asked about her activities in 2024, she said, "I feel like I've been able to do everything I wanted to do a few years ago, including acting, writing, and working in my favorite sport, I feel like I've finally found an answer to why I've been working hard up until now, and I think it's been a really good year. I think now is the time to grit my teeth and reaffirm that I need to work hard so that more people know my name and face." The book also includes newly shot gravure photos of Sawaguchi, who said, "'Sawaguchi Life' is like the culmination of all the people who have helped me so far, including my favorite photographer, makeup artist, and stylists, and I'm so satisfied that I wonder what more I could ask for from gravure." She also revealed her thoughts on gravure, saying, "After finishing the shoot, I was reminded once again that I love gravure, and I hope to approach it more sincerely. I want to work hard in many different areas so that the gravure photos that I love can be seen by many people." She previously revealed that her weight had reached an all-time high. "I weighed myself this morning and wanted to let everyone know, but I ate a lot of curry rice last night... I didn't eat any wheat or anything. I also didn't eat any fried foods. I realized for the first time that cutting down on fried foods helps me lose weight. Thanks to that, my skin is glowing, so I'm happy when people compliment my skin tone rather than my figure." She continued, "I want to look my best for my gravure shoot next year (2025). I still feel like I'm young, so I'm planning to eat a lot while I'm still young, but I really want to continue doing the gravure I love, so I'll eat well, move around, and do my best!" she said enthusiastically. #### #Sawaguchi Aika
