Episode 43 Namaste, We are Shirish and Pooja and Welcome to a "Shirwale" and "Tula Shikvin Changlach Dhada" Special Episode of ‪@RedSoilStories‬ The festival of Colors "Holi" is here and we celebrated it in our traditional way, in southern part of Kokan region of Maharashtra this festival is known by "Shimga" or "Shigmo" and celebrated with different local ritulas. Pooja decided to prepare "Traditional Shirwale" ( rice noodles in coconut milk ) and she asked me to get the traditional noodles maker down from the attic. We had already prepared "Shirwale" at Pooja's aunt's place last year ( Episode no. 6 ) and we had forgot to get the maker back. So Pooja decided to prepare the Shirwale (Naralachya rasatil Shevaya) in a non traditional way. As it was Holi festival ( Shimga ) was going on, we have shown our rituals here as they are celebrated. Pooja prepared the Shirwale (ras shirwale) served it to the children who have come to get "Shabay" (gift for holi). Also we went to Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari Suryavanshi from "Tula Shikvin Changlach Dhada" and served her and Mr. Adhipati Suryvanshi Shirwale which we brought from home. They both liked it.
