She responded by throwing herself into her work as a web-based novel editor. But misfortune strikes again when she is suddenly diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor. On a dark night, she goes up to a rooftop and calls out to the heavens, asking for an end to her misery. But this time, her call is not unheeded. Her words summon a mysterious celestial being named Myeol Mang (Seo In Guk), an intermediary between humans and the heavens. He arrives and tells her that he can make her wishes come true – if she is prepared to pay the ultimate price. She agrees, and strikes a fateful deal with him: She will be allowed to live the life she dreams of for 100 days – after which the grim reaper will take her soul.
