Waza Wednesday 2/15/17 - Recorded LIVE - Gedan-Barai Limb Control

This week's Waza Wednesday was actually conducted via Facebook Live, for the very first time! This video is a cleaned-up version of that recording, but we have left it nearly the full length of the original broadcast, including our expansions and answers to questions. In it, we discuss a simple limb control method, and follow-up options for it, that is based on gedan-barai (low sweep). Waza Wednesday--the day Sensei Richard Poage shares a karate or kobudo technique with the world. Sensei Poage is a Shorin-Ryu Shorinkan practitioner under Sensei Eddie Bethea, and specializes in kata bunkai (analysis).
