Bream Zonker Streamer, The Bank Master Fly

Bream Zonker Streamer, The Bank Master Fly 843 Flies and Outfitters are hosting a Bank Master Bass Tournament. There is a $5 entry fee and some great prizes. There is an adult category and a separate Youth category. As stated, this is only a fly-fishing event that you have to cast from the bank. No sparkle boats, canoes, SUPs, Kayaks, inner tubes, etc. only sitting, kneeling, or standing on the bank of a pond. There will be a Fly Fishers Meeting on Saturday (27 June 2026) at 7AM at 843 Flies and Outfitters (1760 Ashley River Rd, Charleston, SC 29407). This is a Catch, Photo, and Release (CPR) event; so bring your photos of the bass that you caught at the Cast & Drafts event at Freehouse Brewery at 2895 Pringle St, Ste B, North Charleston, SC 29405. At this time, I don’t know what time you will need to be at the Cast & Drafts, but this will be announced at the fly shop that morning. On 24 June, 843 Flies will have a structured fly-tying night at 7PM. The Bream Zonker will be the fly that I will demonstrate on the tying process. If you tie this fly and enter the Bank Master Bass Tournament and manage to catch the largest bass on this fly I will present a fly box with five saltwater flies for redfish, speckled sea trout, flounder and maybe even a bass. Just make sure the fly is in the photo of the bass for the judges. • Material List: o Hook: Kona Universal Strong Streamer, Size 1 o Thread: 140 Deneir – Brown Olive o Tail Guard: 20lb Monofilament (6”) o Tail/Wing: Magnum Tiger Barred Strips, Green Brown over Olive (2”) o Body: EP Wooly Critter Brush, 1/2”, Olive or Olive/Black, 2” o Eyes: EP Game Changer Eyes, Yellow Pearl, 6mm o Pectoral Fins: 2 Sili-Legs Olive on each side, Cut just past the hook bend o Collar: Ice Dub, UV Hot Orange o Throat: Ice Dub UV Hot Orange o Head” Ice Dub, Olive Brown o Note: Coat the Head/Throat with either Softex or Flex UV Resin from the hook eye to just past the EP Eyes.
