Monte Sano State Park in Huntsville, Alabama
Monte Sano State Park in northeast Alabama is a beautiful park overlooking the city of Huntsville. Monte Sano, which means "Mountain of Health" in Spanish, is an appropriate name due to 22 miles of hiking and biking trails, ranging from flat and easy walking trails to challenging mountain trails for hard core bikers. The red, orange and yellow leaves of fall were on brilliant display when we visited in November. We enjoyed our short stay and plan to visit again soon. Visit the park's website for all the info on camping, cabins, the Monte Sano Lodge and various events throughout the year. https://www.alapark.com/parks/monte-s...
