Zeer grote brand in Rotterdam ook in Schiedam te zien en te ruiken

A very large, blazing fire broke out in a warehouse on Keileweg in Rotterdam on Wednesday morning. The fire can also be seen and smelled in Schiedam (East). According to Rijnmond, the fire started in a wood storage facility. Emergency services have issued an NL-Alert urging people to stay out of the smoke. They advise closing windows and doors due to the enormous smoke clouds billowing eastward from the fire. The fire department responded en masse to prevent the fire from spreading to other buildings. Fire trucks from Rotterdam, Vlaardingen, and Schiedam were deployed. Vierhavenstraat is closed in both directions. Firefighters are protecting surrounding buildings with a water barrier. According to the Safety Region, no injuries were reported. One of the affected businesses is Atelier Van Lieshout, where SCHIE filmed a report on Monday. Flashphoto reports that the affected warehouse (of Buurman Rotterdam, a wood storage warehouse) collapsed and was completely destroyed.
