Important! The research was conducted within the framework of the Agreement between the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnology named after B. Dzhamgerchinov of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences. All work was carried out under the Open Sheet (special permission for the right to conduct research), issued by the Field Committee of the IIAENA KR, registered with the State Authority for the Protection of Monuments and local governments. Without an Open Sheet, archaeological research is prohibited by law. All the finds, by law, remain on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. They were transferred to the local school museum. Archaeologists are taking out only digital photographs, drawings and pictures to write a report, which will also be stored at the Institute of History, Archaeology and Ethnology named after B. Dzhamgerchinov of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic. Issyk-Kul is one of the largest lakes in the world, it is located in the north-east of Kyrgyzstan. People have lived on its shores since ancient times, but these shores are unstable. Because this is a seismically active zone, individual parts of the earth's crust can rise and fall, thereby exposing the bottom and flooding the former land. Thus, many ancient settlements and cities went under water. I was lucky to be part of a joint expedition of the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic. For several days we studied the bottom of the lake, looked for and found traces of human life. It turned out to be very interesting. And even if we do not take archeology into account, Issyk-Kul itself is something incredible, so watching this video will be not only interesting, but also beautiful.
